The Prophetic Guidance program aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the Islamic Sciences. Throughout the program, students will study Islam from within its own tradition and cover Classical Texts that have been used for hundreds of years to provide deep and authentic knowledge. The program also places a strong emphasis on applying sacred knowledge in the context we live in through real life examples, discussion, and visiting scholar seminars. This course is suited for those who have a desire to learn and live a life based on Prophetic Guidance.

Learning Objectives
  • Introducing the sophistication and depth of Islamic Studies
  • Learning and applying Sacred Knowledge found in the Sciences of Quran, Hadith, Theology, Law, and The Prophetic Biography
  • Imparting students with a desire to constantly better themselves and to serve the Muslim community
  • Provide mentorship and good company

Year 1 Courses
Semester 1
  • Iman: The Foundations of Islamic Belief & Theology
  • Ihsan: Purification of the Heart: A Study of Imam al-Ghazali’s Beginning of Guidance

Semester 2
  • Seerah: The Prophetic Character & Biography
  • Islam: The Rules & Wisdom of Worship: Purification and Prayer
 
Year 2 Courses
Semester 1
  • History: Lessons in History & Introduction to Da’wah
  • Ihsan: Living Faith: A Study of Imam al-Haddad’s Book of Assistance

Semester 2
  • Fiqh: Fiqh of Marriage, Business, Food, and Dress
  • Quran: Tafsir of the Most Recited Surahs

Graduates will be able to:
  • Fulfill their individual obligation (fardh al-ayn) to study the foundations of Islam
  • Appreciate Islamic Scholarship
  • Live a life grounded in the Way of The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
  • Pursue Higher Islamic studies.
  • Serve their communities with guidance and sincerity
  • Call others to Islam through Knowledge & Wisdom

  • Classes begin on Sunday, September 10th at ICNVT Masjid (lower level)
    • 4420 Shirley Gate Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030
  • Tuition (including books and class materials) – $200/semester
